WCWS organise medical camp for Eye, General Health & Heart Check-up

We Care Welfare Society ( WCWS) a self funded Organisation, organised a free medical camp for eye, general health and heart check- up camp at village Hamirpur Sidhar ( native village of great reformist She-e-Duggar Late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan) of Khour block. WCWS is thankful to A S Gupta, Former Gen Secretary Vivekanand Hospital, who proposed this site and helped in organising this medical camp in the native village of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan. This camp was especially for the benefit of under-privileged, downtrodden BPL families.
Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, well known Ophthalmologist of famous eye hospital ‘Sachdeva Netralaya’,Gandhi Nagar,Jammu examined eye patients with great poise and care, of all eye diseases and ailments. 148 eye patients were examined and among them 33 were screened for Cataract eye surgeries which will be subsequently taken up in badges in the coming days.
Dr Neeraj Gupta, well known Cardiologist and Head of ASCOMS Artemis Heart Centre, Jammu and his team, examined patients of general health and heart related problems. 140 parients were examined out of which 14 patients of heart related problems have been referred for further examination and treatment at Artimis Heart centre. Facilities of ECG, BP, blood sugar ( F), eye testing with latest equipments, were provided at the camp. Medicines and spectacles ,free of cost, were also given to the patients.
Sh. Suraj Singh, Dy DDC & Balbir Singh, Chairman BDC Khour, thanked team of WCWS and Doctors for holding this well organised camp at Hamirpur Sidhar village. Prof M Sadiq Nargal , Chairman WCWS, expressed his gratidute and appreciation , to the entire BDC team for rendering help for organising this camp. He also mentioned main activities of WCWS which are being taken from time to time for social cause of the society and general public at large. Dr R K Gupta, President WCWS, thanked his members who participted in this camp and helped tirelessly in making this camp a great success. He also spoke of life history of Sher-e-Duggar, late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan , a great reformists, who hailed from this village and contributed a lot for welfare of the society and we should feel proud of his achievenents. Sarpanch Smt Gudi Devi also spoke and thanked entire WCWS team and Panches, who arranged this camp for the benefit of people of her village .
Rajinder Gupta, General Secretary conducted the proceedings and he presented overall picture and working of WCWS and told that WCWS is taking no Govt help and all programs of the Society are being managed with help and contributions from his worthy members for which we all feel proud of. He also thanked all his members who participated in this camp and rendered help with great commitment and dedication. Ravinder Mahajan, Great Great Grandson of Late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan also spoke and he assured that Memorial of Lala Hans Raj will be built in this native village and every year function will be arranged in his loving memory.
Later Doctors , Sanjay Sachdeva and Neeraj Gupta, were honoured and presented mementos from WCWS.Vice President Sudershan Gupta also participated and rendered great help especially to the women patients, for medical check -up.Panchs of surrounding villages of Khour block who helped in spreading the message and participted in the camp, include Pathan Singh Pyt Pangali, Jyoti Devi Sarpanch Saninth, Anoop Singh Pyt Mirpur Sidher W-4, Tarseem Lal Pyt Badwal, Sham Lal Pyt Sirghangal, Swarn Singh Pyt Mattoo, Mool Raj Pyt Devian, and Suman Sharma Pyt Sainth.Team of ASCOMS Artemis Heart Centre inculde Dr Sahasrmam Kotwal, GMW Bilqid Majeed, Asso Nurse Rikhsana Wani. Ophth Asstt, Ankush Verma of Sachdeva Natralaya also participated and provided services of eye testing.
