WE CARE WELFARE SOCIETY ORGANISES FREE EYE & GENERAL HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP

A free eye and general health check-up camp was organized on Sunday, Feb 23 at village Kotmaira ( Jangiwala), Khour block by We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) in association with Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla, Jammu. An overwhelming response was witnessed at the camp and around 450 patients from Kotmaira and surrounding villages of Gigrial, Pahariwala, Naryana, Kotmaira upper, Samwan, Upper Pallanwalla, Palanthan, Kaimeini, Nathal mal turned up for free eye & medical check-up. Quality medicines were provided to all the patients after doctors’ consultation. There were more patents having weak eyesight & other eye ailment problems. Around 90 patients were screened out for cataract surgery and society will conduct their
operations at Vivekananda Hospital Jammu. Also, 70 spectacles were distributed to the needy patients at free of cost. An arrangement was made for free blood sugar and BP tests for the benefit of patients. Dr Pankaj Singh, MD, Sr Physician Specialist, left no stone unturned to provide the best consultation and assistance to the patients. We Care Welfare Society is thankful to Dr. Renu Sharma, Director Health Services & Dr. J P Singh CMO for providing us services of a capable physician for our free medical camp.
A dedicated team from Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital Ambphalla led by Opthalmologist Dr. Debapriya Chaterjee , Mr Rakesh Sharma Sr Optometrist , Smt. Shakuntala Devi (A.N.M) , Anita Tak, NO, Ravinder Kangla , Lab Tech extended their voluntary services and provided the best eye-treatment to all the patients. For this medical camp, all necessary modern equipments required for eye testing, were carried at the camp site.
Prof M Sadiq Nargal, Chairman ‘We Care Welfare Society ‘ thanked Sarpanch Sohan Singh who worked very hard and made elaborate arrangements for this event ,with the help of other Sarpanches. WCWS would like to thank Col Mohan Singh, Son of the Soil of this village , who initiated this medical camp programme and acted as a liaison between Sarpanches and our society, right from the begining till culmination of the this successful camp .These Sarpanches Sham Lal, Davinder Singh , Sharda Devi, Seema Devi , Manjit Singh Bhadur Singh, Vijay Singh participated and assisted in smooth conduct of the medical camp. Elaborate arrangements were made for sitting & comfort of the patients. Lunch was also arranged by Panchayat Ghar team. Management committee members of Vivekananda Charitable Hospital General Secretary Atma Saroop Gupta, FA Amar Chand Gupta & Registrar Dr Romesh Gupta also participated and we are thankful to President of Vivekananda Charitable Hospital trust Prof Chaman Lal Gupta and his team for helping us in arranging this free medical camp.
